Michael Christie, of Harrier Court, Eaglestone, attended Milton Keynes Magistrates' Court on Wednesday for civil proceedings relating to allegations that he was using his home as a drugs house.

Thames Valley Police, MK Council and the Drugs Action Team will apply for a closure order under the under the Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2003.

A closure order from the court permanently prevents a person from residing at a premises.

Duty solicitor Julian Cross, representing Mr Christie, indicated that his client intended to contest the action.

The case was adjourned until later this month while Mr Christie applies for legal advice.

A closure notice will continue until that time, meaning he can remain at home but anyone who visits the premises will be breaking the law.

Police have increased their presence in the area in an effort to reassure the public.
