Did a row with yobs result in ex-policeman's death?

A RETIRED police officer who was found dead near his Burghfield Common home could have been rowing with yobs.
Adrian Daniels, a former detective constable at Scotland Yard, was known among his neighbours in Thrush Close for his community spirit and would always patrol the cul-de-sac at night, keeping an eye out for groups of yobs who hang around the estate.
But in the early hours of Wednesday, July 18, the father-ofone was found unconscious with a head injury only a few yards from his home and died later at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
Police are treating his death as suspicious and are investigating reports of a row in the street on the same night he died.
Neighbour Kevin Upton claims that although Mr Daniels retired from the Metropolitian Police in August last year, he never stopped policing.
