A BUS service through a Burnley estate had to be pulled when yobs hurled missiles at the vehicles putting drivers and passengers in danger.
The louts hurled stones and other missiles at two buses, smashing the windows of one, in an attack police described as senseless.

The attacks happened on Thursday night in the Brunshaw area. Missiles were first thrown at the 8-26 p.m. bus from Worsthorne into town.

It was passing through the Brunshaw estate, near Brunshaw Avenue, at around 8-30 p.m. when stones were thrown. A bus passenger said the missiles hit the side and windows of the vehicle.

In the second incident, at 9-20 p.m. and near to Roughlee Grove, the windows of a Burnley and Pendle bus were smashed causing £400 damage.

Passengers and the drivers of both buses thankfully escaped unhurt but police called for witnesses.
