ABERDEEN: YOBS SMASH 30 WINDOWS AT PRIMARY SCHOOL

YOBS SMASH 30 WINDOWS AT PRIMARY SCHOOL
A Primary school in Aberdeen has had 30 windows smashed by yobs.

Grampian Police are investigating the attack on Beechwood School in the city's Midstocket area.

The incidents occurred some time between last Friday and Wednesday at the Raeden Park Road school.

Thirty windows were broken after stones were lobbed at the panes.

A police spokesman said: "This was a deplorable attack on an important community building.

"The amount of damage caused did not happen in an instant.

"We would urge members of the public who either saw or heard people loitering in the grounds of the school to contact us immediately."

SNP councillor for Rosemount and Midstocket Bill Cormie said this was a mindless attack.

He added: "I find it is really sad that this has happened. There seems to be a growing problem of vandalism in the summer months."
