Tayside Police appealed for witnesses to the shooting
Two teenage boys have been shot with an airgun in Dundee.

The 15-year-olds suffered minor injuries when they were hit at about 2130 BST on Monday in a park near the city's Ferguson Street.

Tayside Police, who think the weapon may have been fired from a window in Victoria Street, have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

The force said the outcome could have been "much more serious" as the firearms are "potentially lethal".

Sgt Ron Brown said: "All firearms are potentially lethal weapons, not toys.

"On this occasion only minor injury was caused, however the outcome could well have been much more serious.

"I would urge anyone who knows who is responsible to contact us as soon as possible."
