COPS are stepping up patrols after thugs damaged a Little Digmoor play area.
Alderley’s adventure playground was only opened in April and has already had its fence destroyed.
Estate Cllr Mary Whitby said: “Even when the area was locked up, youths were throwing glass bottles over the top of it. Some wooden stumps have gone missing too and a lot of the bushes and plants have been ruined.
Neighbourhood sergeant Sue Seddon said: “There are ongoing enquiries to find those responsible and we would welcome any information regarding this crime.We will be increasing patrols in the area.”
